1.
They say Aurora Australis
A rare sight that we should enjoy;
Nothing visible except smiling stars
Winking at humans from above!
Could also be some planets
showing their clear presence from this dark,
vacuumed space- their home!
Mother Nature teaches us life's lesson-
'Nothing comes easy; work for it.'
2.
The bright sun shining but
With little strength and valour.
The breeze feeling mightier
With greater force and command.
The trees swaying happily to the
Sassy notes like dancing merrily
The buses and trains meander
Getting people to work in time.
A true wintry morning to enjoy.
3.
The days seem shorter yet active,
The evenings, nights long and fast too.
Winter prevails for another month
Before the dawn of colourful spring
And a host of creepy crawlies showing
their guest appearance now and then.
Every season has its good and
bad interesting acts of Mother Nature!
4.
The lullaby sung by the soft breeze,
The cool temperature outside,
The faint light of the dawn,
Brings absolute briskness.
A sign from Mother Nature
That it is time to wake up
And begin the day's chore
Calling it a blessing and a
day full of interesting challenges.
5.
Freezing early mornings and
Sun is still waking up;
No sign of heat to warm you up;
Everything looks still and stiff
Like as if drenched in absolute cold;
Wading through peak Southern winter
that people claim colder than North!
Antarctic blasts one hell of a blast
This time as if being vindictive
6.
Greyish yellow sun lazily
Peeping out from its satin spreads.
Still thinking whether or not
To make its bright appearance.
It is winter and this yellow ball
Seems aware that his work is less.
A sound of mild breeze seems
A perfect lullaby for the sleepy sun
Who has shown his presence meekly.
7.
Temperature is eight but feels its half.
Sunshine to glory, but strength its half.
Everyone wearing a few layers
But its effect is half.
That is winter here in this Southern Land,
Where it may not snow, no blizzards
but the wind can pierce through your bones.
8.
The body is dancing naturally
To bear this Antarctic blast,
Teeth are playing the drums
To align with body's movements.
Hands seem frozen and resemble
a packed magnum ice cream block.
Lips are cracked feeling like chopped wood.
the entire human anatomy
Adjusting to this bitter sweetness.
