On An Ode to My Students (Dr. Anna Sekhar)

1.
Rain or shine did not matter,
We were still on time;
Cold was our least concern,
We still looked fresh and chirpy;
Sad or happy we did not bother,
Our smiles at each other cheered us;
Eight in the morning did we care?
We loved to be the noisiest of all;
Our classes were fun-filled learning
Putting concepts to practice.
Now its time to see you all go..
My future leaders, it has been
Nothing but absolute pleasure to lecture your class;
hope our paths cross... I wish every student of mine-
Nothing but the best of the best.

2.
We started off quiet and
This was our getting familiar stage;
We slowly started talking and
That was our getting to know more phase;
We began sharing a laugh and chatting,
making it our we know each other stage;
We then became loud chatterboxes,
Earning the name of being noisiest at eight!

3.
We are here to learn from each other,
With little or no ego blinding us;
We are here to help each other,
With no sense if vindictive thoughts;
We are here to enjoy success of the other,
With no impish behaviour impeding;
The joy of being with students
Who shower love as if to their parent.

4.
We learn and our motto is ' just do it.'
We talk with confidence knowing we can.
We formally communicate to build our elegance.
We choose our right mode to exhibit leadership.
We understand each other to help.
There is no mocking and scoffing in our classes.
We create a feeling, 'nothing is impossible to a willing mind.'

5.
Every trimester begins like an untrodden snow
and that hardness softens.
Every study period has its challenges
But that fades away with familiarity.
Every student is new but becomes
A close part of our lives to stay forever-
the joy of a teacher for sure.
We start scattered but gel as days go and,
these leave pleasant memories
