1.
You may be a sibling,
You may not be one;
You may be an affine,
You may not be one;
These do not help bond.
Show honesty, sincerity,
Love and fairness, these build
A true everlasting bond;
Something hard to find!
2.
Be it a relative, be it a friend;
Be it an acquaintance, be it not;
All that matters is honesty;
All that will stay is sincerity;
All that one remembers is
How true you have been to the other.
You cannot clap hands with just
The one hand; you cannot bond
With the efforts of just one.
3.
It is not about your type of relationship,
It is not about being close or afar;
It is not about richness or not;
It is about your sincerity and honesty;
It is about your behaviour and trust;
It is more about who you are and
How fair and just you are with
A person not your own! Not easy,
Not hard either- just do it!
4.
Bonding cannot be with all;
Bonding does not ask for kinship
With members of your extended family;
Bonding does not know blood, but,
Bonding thrives on honesty,
Sincerity and truthfulness in that bond.
Where there is falsity and cunningness
There cannot be any true bonding.
5.
When things go wrong and
Someone supports you;
When things go right and
Someone feels happy for you;
When you are sad and down and
Someone gives you that shoulder;
When you celebrate and
Someone wishes you from their heart,
That someone should be treasured.
6.
Having an insidious smile
When things go wrong for you;
Having a sadistic feeling of joy
When you are suffering in pain;
Having a sheer feel of contentment
When you have lost something;
Being clandestine and beguiling
But wanting to know all of your deeds;
Is not what you call bonding!
