Light, my light, the world-filling light, the eye-kissing light, heart-sweetening light!

Ah, the light dances, my darling, at the centre of my life; the light strikes, my darling, the chords of my love; the sky opens, the wind runs wild, laughter passse over the earth.

The butterflies spread their sails on the sea of light. Lillies and jasminse surge upon the crest of the waves of light.

The light is shattered into gold on every cloud, my darling, and it scattser gems in profusion.

Mirth spreads from leaf to leaf, my darling, and gladness without measure.

The heaven's river has drowned its banks and the flood of joy is abroad.

ഹാ! ചില്‍പ്രകാശം ഭുവനം നിറഞ്ഞു
വ്യാപിക്കുമീ ദീ്പതിയിലെന്റെ കണ്‍കള്‍
ചുംബിച്ചുണര്‍ത്തുന്നിതു ഹൃത്തടത്തെ
പുണര്‍ന്നിടുന്നോരു പ്രകാശധാര.

നൃത്തം നത്തുന്നിത ദീപ്തരശ്മി
ഗീതം മുഴക്കുന്നിതു മാനസത്തില്‍
ആ ഗാനകല്ലോല വിലോലനത്തില്‍
ഭൂസ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗമൊന്നായുണരുന്നു മോദാല്‍.

ആ ദീപ്തരശ്മീ പ്രസരത്തിലാടി
പൂമ്പാറ്റകള്‍ വാനിലുയര്‍ന്നു പൊങ്ങൂ
അതിന്റെയോളങ്ങളില്‍ സൂനവൃന്ദം
വിടര്‍ന്നു സമ്മോഹന നൃത്തമാടൂ.

സൗവര്‍ണ്ണ വര്‍ണ്ണാങ്കിത വാരിവാഹം
ചാര്‍ത്തുന്നു രത്‌നപ്രഭ യംബരത്തില്‍
പത്രാവലിക്കും ഹൃഷിതം നിറച്ച്
സ്വര്‍ ഗംഗ കൂലങ്കഷമാഞ്ഞു പായും.

Let all the strains of joy mingle in my last song – the joy that makes the earth flow over in the riotous excess of the grass, the joy that sets the twin brothers, life and death, dancing over the wide world, the joy that sweeps in with the tempest,shaking and waking all life with laughter, the joy that sits still with its tears on theopen red lotus of pain, and the joy that throws everything it has upon the dust,മിറ സിീം െിീ േമ ംീൃറ.

സമസ്ത രാഗങ്ങളലിഞ്ഞു ചേര്‍ന്നു്
സമന്വയിച്ചീടുമൊരന്ത്യ രാഗം
ഒരുക്കുിടും മാധുരിയാസ്വദിക്കെ
സമസ്ത മോദങ്ങള്‍ തുളുമ്പിടട്ടെ !

ഭൂദേവി താം തളിം പുതച്ചു
ദൂമന്ദഹാസം ചൊരിയുന്ന തുഷ്ടി,
ഉന്മത്തരെപ്പോല്‍ ജനിമൃത്യു ഭൂവില്‍
ചുറ്റിച്ചരിക്കുന്നൊരമോഘ മോഹം!

ആ നവ്യമാം മോഹമലിഞ്ഞിടട്ടെന്‍
ഗാനത്തിനീണത്തിലനന്തമായി
പ്രകമ്പവേഷത്തിലലര്‍ച്ചയോടെ
നിദ്രാണം നല്‍കുമുണര്‍വ്വതിപ്പോള്‍.

ആ നവ്യമാം തുഷ്ടി നിറച്ചിടുന്നു
രക്താംബുജത്തിന്നകവും തുഷാരം
നിശ്ശബ്ദമായ് ധൂളി പറത്തി നില്‍ക്കും
ആനന്ദമെന്നന്തിമ ഗാനശോഭ.
